It is not uncommon to treat the term system as though it were a world all of its own. It has its parts and relationships that make up a whole that is its own world. Our site is termed ‘Worlds of Systems’ and we intend not only to liken the term system to a world but to recognize that people have their own worlds, build their own systems, and have their own world-view of each and every system.

Our world consists of our efforts to formulate and prosecute a research agenda. It involves interacting with graduate students, other faculty, and sponsors from industry and business. It makes use of splendid facilities and includes graduate courses we teach. It may not have been built with you in mind but you are welcome here. If you don’t leave your cares behind as you step in, maybe we can help relieve them? Miracles happen!
